About Me
Who am I?
My name is Justin Sciullo, and I am a Senior at Grand Valley State University. I am finishing my Bachelors of Science in Applied Mathematics, and I hope to begin a Ph.D. program in the Fall of 2025. I have many mathematical interests, including but not limited to:
- Computational Mathematics
- Discrete Mathematics
- Applied Machine Learning
- Graph/Network Theory
- Data Analysis/Science
- Math Education/Pedagogy
- Alternative Grading
Teaching is the passion of my life, and I am always looking for opporutunities to help people discover their passion for mathematics. I grew up thinking I was just not one of those math people, and I am determined to help these people discover that they can be a champion of mathematics.
When I am not thinking about math, I am playing and teaching the drums. I teach marching percussion ensembles all over West Michigan, and have been proud to work with schools such as Cedar Springs High School, Rockford High School, and Fruitport Independent Percussion.
What is this website?
I created this website as a central place to post my articles, coding projects, and any interesting concepts I came across in my studies. I believe that the best way to learn is to teach, so I hope to write technical articles on anything I think is mathematically interesting.
How can I contact you?
By far the best way to reach me is through my email sciulloj@mail.gvsu.edu). I check this email often, and I would love to talk about math with anybody who will listen. If you see an issue with this website or just want to talk numbers, please reach out!
